o TPS61165DBVR is a boost converter that drives LEDs in series. The boost converter operates at a fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz, allowing the use of high-brightness LEDs in general lighting conditions. The feedback voltage can be adjusted to 200mV by setting the default current of the white LED through the external sensor resistor Rset.During operation, the LED current can be controlled through the CTRL pin using a single-wire digital interface (EasyScale™ protocol).
The TPS61165DBVR device does not burst the LED current; therefore, it does not generate significant noise on the output capacitor. For maximum protection, the device features an integrated open-LED protection feature that disables the TPS61165 device to prevent the output from exceeding the absolute maximum voltage rating under open-LED conditions.
