The TPS92692-Q1 is a high precision peak current mode based controller designed to support boost/buck LED drive topologies. To improve EMI performance, the unit uses a rail-to-rail current amplifier to measure LED current and spread spectrum frequency modulation techniques.
The device uses analog or PWM dimming techniques to independently modulate the LED current. Varying the voltage at the high-impedance analog adjust (IADJ) input allows a linear analog dimming response beyond the 15:1 range.
The TPS92692-Q1 device supports continuous detection of LEDs and outputs via current monitor (IMON). It also features an open-drain fault indicator output. This function is used to indicate LED overcurrent, output overvoltage and output undervoltage conditions.
