The TPS92691QPWPRQ1 device is a general-purpose LED controller supporting a range of boost or buck driver topologies. The device features a fixed frequency peak current mode control technique with programmable switching frequency, slope compensation and soft-start timing.
It incorporates a high-voltage (65 V) rail-to-rail current sense amplifier, allowing LED current to be measured directly through a high-side or low-side series sense resistor.
The TPS92691QPWPRQ1 device can also continuously monitor the state of the LED through a current monitor output. It is possible to detect and protect the short circuit or open circuit of the LED. Additional fault protection features are VCC UVLO, output overvoltage protection (OVP), switch cycle-by-cycle current limit, and thermal protection.
