The TPS7A6650H-Q1 is a low dropout linear regulator for 40 V input voltage operation. It has a quiescent current of only 12µA with no load, making it ideal for automotive applications.
The device features integrated short-circuit and over-current protection. When powered up, it undergoes a reset delay to indicate that the output voltage is stable and under regulation. The user can set this delay with an external capacitor. The low-voltage tracking feature allows smaller input capacitors and eliminates the need for a boost converter during cold cranking.
