The TPS7A6650-Q1 is a high voltage, ultralow quiescent current low dropout regulator designed to operate from input voltages up to 40V. With a quiescent current of only 12µA at no load, the TPS7A6650-Q1 is ideal for standby microprocessor control unit systems, especially automotive applications.

The TPS7A6650-Q1 has integrated short-circuit and overcurrent protection and implements a reset delay on power-up to indicate that the output voltage is stable and in regulation. An external capacitor can be used to set this delay.The low-voltage tracking feature allows the use of smaller input capacitors and may eliminate the need for a boost converter during cold-crank conditions.
