The TCA9535PWR device provides 16-bit general purpose parallel input and output (I/O) expansion for the (SMBus) protocol. A two-wire bidirectional I 2 C bus is also available.
The device consists of two 8-bit configuration, input port, output port and polarity inversion registers. By writing to the I/O configuration bits, the system controller can enable I/O as input or output.
