The DS90UB949TRGCRQ1 is an HDMI to FPD-LinkIII bridge device that can be used with the FPD-LinkIII DS90UB940-Q1/DS90UB948-Q1 deserializer cost-effective 50Ω single-ended coax or 100Ω differential shielded twisted pair (STP) – or Dual-channel high-speed serial streaming.
The FPD-LinkIII interface supports video and audio data transfer and full-duplex control (including I2C and SPI communication) over the same differential link. The integration of video data and control through two differential pairs reduces interconnect size and weight and simplifies system design. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) is minimized through the use of low voltage differential signaling, data reordering, and random generation. In backward compatibility mode, the device supports up to WXGA and 720p resolution (24-bit color depth) on a single differential link. Support for receiving multi-channel audio via HDMI or external I2S interface, optional auxiliary audio interface is also available.
